Kewill is looking for an experienced C++ Software Developer to be responsible for the design and implementation of new features and components that comprise our enterprise shipping application.  As part of the Development team, there will be opportunity to introduce new technologies and evolve our Flagship enterprise shipping application to a SOA architecture.  Responsibilities will include:

• Design new features driven by product requirements and create design models and documents to describe them.
• Implement and deliver high quality software.  Identify and build reusable components.
• Provide technical oversight to offshore teams to ensure implementation is consistent with design goals and coding standards.
• Be a resource for groups outside of engineering such as product management, support, and services by answering questions on product and technology.  Help train them as part of the launch of new releases.
• Participate in the transition to new tools and technologies such as Subversion, Jira, JUnit, JMeter and Confluence.
• Opportunity for project leadership

 Required Skills/Experience:

• 3+ years of experience of C++ development.
• Experience with PHP highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience with technologies including multi-tier and web -based applications, Windows applications, and database systems.
• Experience with development process and tools including source control, bug tracking systems, and automation tools.
• Experience with Sql Server, My Sql or other database systems desirable.
• Experience with Agile or RUP methodologies desirable.
• Excellent organization skills, flexibility and the ability to work in a fast paced changing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent education   

This position will be based initially in Marlborough, MA;  it will be based in the Chelmsford/Westford, MA area when we move to our new facility towards the end of 2008.
