This key engineering management position is responsible for managing a team of software developers to deliver enterprise class application releases with an outstanding development process to achieve quality, performance, and engineering efficiency.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Strong and seasoned leader with knowledge and experience in implementing sustainable world class SDLC processes:

Manages a development team of high caliber engineers to deliver new releases that meet defined requirements for an enterprise class application.

Ensures consistent use of Agile methodologies and the delivery of on time, well architected high quality software.

Develops and executes project plans and best practices, identifies risks and mitigations, assigns resources, and communicates clear priorities.

Provides detailed technical guidance to the team on implementing new product functionality and improving existing features.

Ensures solid design, documentation, and review that promote efficient maintenance and future development.Identifies and executes methods to “build quality in.

Provides technical vision and leadership that fosters the introduction of new technologies to provide added business value and competitive differentiation.

Empowers team members to achieve their best through collaboration and a pride in achieving common goals.

Acts as a positive change agent to ensure continual process improvement working collaboratively with other organizations include product management, QA, and client services.

Required Skills/Experience:
-
10+ years of experience developing and delivering high quality enterprise software applications on time with experience in C++ and Java. PHP experience will be desirable.

5+ years of management experience.

Demonstrated leadership abilities with proven mentoring and interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire excellence. Ability to be a positive change agent both within the Engineering team and with other organizations.

Solid experience with technologies including web-based multi-tier applications, and database systems.

Demonstrated design and architectural abilities to build reusable components and promote SOA techniques.

Experience with design patterns and development best practices.

Experience with development process and tools including source control, bug tracking systems, and automation tools.

Demonstrated project management skills.

Excellent organization skills, flexibility and the ability to work in a fast paced changing environment.

Minimum Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
