George Elliott

Non-Executive Chairman

George ElliottGeorge Elliott was appointed as Non-Executive Chairman in November 2010. George is currently Non-Executive Chairman of AIM-quoted Craneware plc, the market leader in automated revenue integrity solutions for healthcare organisations in the US. George is also Non-Executive Chairman of AIM-quoted Easydate plc, and Corsair Components Inc., which designs and supplies high-performance components to the PC gaming hardware market and is based in Fremont, California. George also holds Non-Executive directorships with AIM-quoted drug discovery company, Summit Corporation plc, Oxonica plc, a developer of nanomaterials, and Scotcloth Limited, a software developer. From 2000 to 2007, George was Chief Financial Officer of Wolfson Microelectronics plc, a leading global provider of high performance semiconductors to the consumer electronics market. During his tenure, he oversaw the company gaining entry to the FTSE 250 Index. Prior to this, George was business development director at McQueen International Ltd (now Sykes), where he was responsible for strategic sales and marketing. George, formerly a partner of Grant Thornton, is a chartered accountant and is a graduate of Heriot-Watt University in accountancy and finance and is based in Edinburgh.

Paul Nichols

Chief Executive Officer

Paul NicholsPaul is Kewill’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He received an Economics honours degree from Brunel University in 1978. In his early years in the IT industry, Paul held sales and business management positions in ICL and Digital Equipment Corporation. In 1994 he joined Data Sciences Ltd (DSL) as Executive General Manager for the Commercial and Financial Services business. In 1997 DSL was acquired by IBM and Paul became a Director of IBM Global Services in EMEA with responsibility for the Banking and Financial Services industry. In 1999 Paul was appointed as President and CEO of Logica Inc., the North American subsidiary of Logica plc. Paul joined Kewill as CEO in August 2002.

David Gibbon

Chief Financial Officer

David GobbonDavid joined Kewill as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in January 2011 from Atex, where he had spent the previous five years as CFO. While at Atex, revenues doubled and profits grew five-fold as the company established itself as the international market leader in its sector and David also successfully oversaw a number of key acquisitions which contributed toward the successful transformation of the business. Prior to being CFO at Atex, David was CFO at Tertio Holdings Ltd from 1998 to 2002, during which time he managed the financial and legal aspects of the company’s MBO backed by Apax and Advent International. Following the demerger of the business in 2002, David moved to be CFO of Tertio Telecoms Ltd before it was successfully sold in 2004 to NASDAQ-listed Evolving Systems Inc. Prior to this, David was Finance Director of Graseby Medical Limited and continued with the business following the acquisition of Graseby plc by Smiths Group plc. David also spent 10 years with Caradon plc ending as Controller of Caradon Inc., a $1.0bn revenue division based in the US. During his time at Caradon, the business grew revenues from £200m to £2.0bn. David qualified as a chartered accountant in 1984.

Richard Gawthorne

Senior Non-Executive Director

Richard GawthorneRichard Gawthorne has been a Non-Executive Director at Kewill since July 2006. From February 2010 until November 2010, Richard held the position as Acting Non-Executive Chairman and is currently Senior Non-Executive Director. He graduated with a BSc in Maths with Statistics from Bath University in 1972 and then qualified at Coopers & Lybrand before moving on to various roles in industry. Between 1988 and 1993 Mr Gawthorne held finance director positions at Prudential Life and Pensions and at Prudential Corporate Pensions and then a chief executive role at Pegasus Assurance Group. He was also chairman of the private company MatrixMicroscience Ltd and has previously served as a non-executive director of the software company Smartstream Technologies Ltd and with 3i plc.

David Garman

Non-Executive Director

David GarmanDavid was appointed to the Kewill Board as a Non-Executive Director in March 2011.  David is also the Senior Non-Executive Director of Carillion plc, a Non-Executive Director at Phoenix IT Group plc and St Modwen Properties plc and of several private companies.  David was Chief Executive of TDG plc, the global logistics company, from 1999 until its takeover in 2008.  Prior to this, David was an executive director of Associated British Foods plc having previously held senior positions in a number of leading UK food companies.

Ron Verni

Non-Executive Director

Ron-VerniRon was appointed to the Kewill Board as a Non-Executive Director in June 2011. Ron is also a Non-Executive Director of Craneware, plc and a Non-Executive Director of ILumen, Inc., on the Board of Advisors of Company.com, CEO Ventures, and the Robinson College of Business. Before that he was President & CEO of Sage Software, Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors of the Sage Group plc. Under his leadership, the company grew from less than $160 million in revenue to over $1 billion, from under 1,000 employees to over 5,000, and from 1 million business customers to over 2.5 million. Ron also engineered over 20 acquisitions and oversaw their successful integration into the company. Prior to Sage Software, Ron was President and CEO of Peachtree Software, Inc., a leading pioneer in business management solutions for small to medium size businesses. Ron also was a Vice President of Marketing with Automatic Data Processing, President and CEO of NEBS Software, Inc., and the founder and CEO of ASTEC Software.

Chris Wilkinson

Company Secretary

Chris-WilkinsonChris Wilkinson was appointed Company Secretary in January 2011. Chris is a solicitor and, until he retired in April 2010, was a partner at Simmons & Simmons, the international law firm, where he practiced as a senior corporate lawyer in the City for nearly 30 years. Chris specialised in corporate finance, corporate governance and regulation, M&A and private equity advising companies across a whole spectrum of industries ranging from FTSE 100 (or overseas equivalent) to other listed or AIM quoted companies, institutional clients and entrepreneurs. He has written for and contributed to many legal publications and is editor of 'Simmons & Simmons on Joint Ventures and Shareholders' Agreements'. Chris remains a consultant at that firm and will retain his informal role as Chairman of the 'Next Generation NED Network' an initiative which he started at Simmons & Simmons in conjunction with several other leading service providers. Chris read law at UCL and lives near Guildford.
