U.S. Customs Applications Accelerate Brokers Use of ACE
Kewill Certifications Eliminate Need for Brokers to Perform
Painstaking Certifications Themselves
Kewill recently confirmed that it's U.S. Customs
Brokerage applications, Kewill Customs and Kewill Alliance, are both
ACE-certified. The new rule, per CSMS 10-00053, from CBP
eliminates the need for U.S. Customs Brokers to certify, as long as
the Customs Broker is using an ACE-certified solution. This
dramatically reduces the time to begin filing ACE Entry Summaries.
Kewill's Celeste Catano, a TSN ACE Trade Ambassador says "It is
gratifying to see that CBP listened to the needs of the Customs
Broker. By allowing a Customs Broker to file ACE Customs
Entries, using an ACE Certified application, it will be a win for
CBP and a win for the Customs Brokers"

Webcast Series: Economy, Peak
Season, Parcel Shipping - It's Time to Regroup
The
current economic climate is driving consumers and shippers to seek
out low cost alternatives in exchange for deferred delivery times.
Gone are the days when everyone needs it overnight and is willing to
pay for it. It's no longer a simpler rate shop for a domestic zone 4
parcel shipment. Couple that with the strategy of the carriers and
there are lots of opportunities to adjust your shipping service mix.
