Kewill delivers data security to Sabre Insurance
16 July 2007
Kewill is pleased to announce a new contract win with Sabre; a UK insurer specialising in non-standard motor insurance. Following an evaluation project to review its complex trading processes, Sabre has signed a three year deal to utilise Kewill InsuranceXchange (KIX), to support its existing technology platform and augment its electronic trading facility.
Sabre faced operational challenges in connecting to its business partners and suppliers, all of whom used varying technology platforms. As a result, data was being moved manually across Sabre’s back office systems which was labour intensive. By using KIX, data can now be transferred swiftly and securely regardless of which technology systems are being used. During the proof of concept phase of the contract, Sabre’s suppliers will be introduced to KIX one by one whilst the system is rolled out.
Mary Barker, Electronic Trading Executive at Sabre comments, “Some of the methods used to transfer data were not cost effective or as secure as they could be due to the many different technology systems being used by our business partners and suppliers. KIX will enable us to ensure maximum security whilst being cost effective and will support our disaster recovery plan by centralising connectivity with our business community.”
Jacquie Boast, Chief Marketing Officer, Kewill said, “We have demonstrated to Sabre an ability to electronically deliver data in a secure format and we look forward to managing a scalable platform to deliver increased business efficiencies as their business grows.”
