Kewill delivers trading platform for Hanson Aggregates

Sale, UK, Kewill Solutions Europe, a leading provider of "order to delivery" supply chain execution solutions, announced today that Hanson Aggregates, one of the UK’s largest construction materials businesses, will use Kewill Trade and MessageBroker for exchanging business critical supply chain information with 260 of its suppliers.
Hanson, which operates over 500 sites, supplying major civil engineering contractors and local builders, typically trades with its suppliers using paper-based methods. The company required a solution that would allow them to electronically exchange financial information with suppliers and seamlessly integrate the data into their back office system.
Kewill will transfer Hanson’s supplier base onto Kewill Trade, an advanced supply chain execution suite for analysis, control and execution of the order to delivery logistics network, to provide an easy to use electronic trading solution. Kewill MessageBroker, will provide behind the scenes file management and data validation. "Kewill’s solution supports our overall drive to improve supply chain efficiency by eliminating manual errors and streamlining our processes. The system will reduce administrative costs and furthermore it provides us with flexible building blocks, allowing us to react quickly to the market and continually make improvements", said John Denyer, Head of Shared Services.

Kewill’s Community Development team will educate and support suppliers as Kewill Trade is rolled out to Hanson’s suppliers. The combination of modular software and services from Kewill will enable swift and cost effective rollout of the complete system. Hanson’s suppliers will securely receive, process and manage files within a web browser. Kewill MessageBroker will feed data directly into Hanson’s systems.
As the Kewill solution is managed from Kewill’s state-of-the-art Manchester data centre, businesses do not have to dedicate specific in-house skills and resources to enabling their supply chain
