Kewill enables Tradewise Insurance to facilitate full EDI trading
13 July 2007
Kewill has entered into an agreement with Tradewise Insurance Services Ltd., supporting the company with its move to full electronic trading. Tradewise specialises in the motor trade road risks and the commercial vehicle market and distributes its products solely through the broker channel.
Tradewise currently use a web based system to facilitate partial electronic trading with its network of broker partners. This involves brokers re-keying policy information which creates disadvantages in terms of speed, accuracy and efficiency. Tradewise recognised that it needed to move to full electronic trading to enhance its service to its broker panel.
Kewill are providing Kewill Insurance Xchange (KIX) to enable Tradewise to establish seamless connectivity with its brokers and their software house providers, regardless of the technology platforms in use. KIX specialises in the collection and delivery of information electronically minimising costs and increasing business efficiencies through straight through processing. Delivery of information to comply with regulatory requirements, such as the Motor Insurance Database, will also be processed swiftly using the same approach.
Wayne Bradshaw, Sales and Marketing Director at Tradewise comments: “By using KIX we are unlocking the potential in our existing technology and embracing the opportunity to do more business, more effectively. Kewill has provided us with a highly cost effective and scaleable solution which supports us in our business goals of building further competitive advantage and expanding our broker panel.”
Debbie Baker, Business Unit Director, Insurance at Kewill said: “KIX will also enable Tradewise to launch new products without the need for re-engineering of business processes and as new brokers are added to the panel, connection and EDI trading capabilities can be facilitated swiftly. We look forward to further supporting Tradewise in its business expansion goals.”
