Kewill responds to BT EDI*Net Service closure announcement

21 October 2009

Guildford, UK –Kewill plc (LSE:KWL), a leading provider of solutions that simplify global trade and logistics, has responded to the announcement by BT that it will close its BT EDI*Net service on 24 February 2010 by announcing it has already taken action to ensure smooth migration for its own customers who are affected. It will also offer special terms for non-Kewill contracted BT EDI*Net service users to ensure continuity of their service and is working with other EDI solution providers to facilitate easy migration, with a range of connectivity options available.

The BT EDI*Net service is used in conjunction with Kewill’s suite of trade management solutions which power communications between supply chain trading partners, enabling the seamless transfer of trading data electronically.  Having been a principal reseller of BT’s EDI Net service for around 15 years, Kewill has worked closely with BT in recent months to manage the impact of the planned closure on its existing customers by migrating them across to an alternative EDI mailbox provider and adjusting all affected connection settings.

Initial migration work has already been completed behind the scenes by Kewill and work is well underway to finalise migration before the deadline with minimal required action by customers. Kewill has set up a dedicated team to provide non-Kewill contracted BT EDI*Net customers with advice on the options available to them which include a quick set up and migration service designed to minimise costs and disruption as a result of the changeover, which does not impact on their current EDI solution.
