Which employers are affected and how?

In short, everyone:

  • Large - (250 or more employees)
    You will have already started filing and paying some documents electronically
  • Medium - (50 - 249 employees)
    You will be already filing your returns electronically, but there is always scope for improvement and we can help you fully automate the process with integration to your back office systems
  • Small - (fewer than 50 employees)
    You do not have to start filing electronically until May 2010, but there are benefits to filing electronic submission today:
    • Obtain tax-free payments from HMRC
    • Derive cost savings in areas such as paper, printing, postage and administration
    • Improve the accuracy of your PAYE submission by eliminating the possibility of hand-written & re-keyed errors
